The good ecological life!
Hostess Jasmine loves good food, accompanied, of course, by a glass of fine wine. She likes to enjoy the good things in life. Those are the really good things as far as she is concerned. Such as food without added substances or processing.
Her aversion to chemical processing is also found in other aspects of her lifestyle. For example, she uses ecological cleaning and laundry products. The beds in her guesthouse were manufactured in the artisan workshop of Lavital, a specialist in sustainable, circular mattresses, box springs and cribs. The mattresses are made of 100% natural materials such as wool, horsehair, cotton, flax, hemp and sea grass. All materials are also produced to Fairtrade standards whenever possible.
In the guest kitchen, you can tap filtered drinking water from a separate faucet. That saves you costs and the environment plastic water bottles.
Sleep well
Yumeko’s sustainably produced bedding is guaranteed not to harm people, animals and the environment. Hemplin linens are made from hemp, the most ecological textile fiber available. Underneath, it is wonderful luxury sleeping; cool in summer and warm in winter. It also has a beautiful linen look. It is soft, hypoallergenic and antibacterial. Hemp is grown with very little water, without the use of insecticides or herbicides. It is fully compostable. The towels from De Witte Lietaer, are made of organic cotton.
Circular world
Much of the furniture and trinkets are from the region. They have been lovingly crafted into the sometimes showpieces they are today. Reusing furniture and utensils fits seamlessly with Jasmine’s sustainable thinking and practices. Her creative talents also come in handy here. She turns old things into something new that is beautiful and functional at the same time. Not surprisingly, for this creative work as well as for her free art, she uses purely eco-friendly materials.
