A country house with noble allure

In French you call it a manoir, in Dutch a landhuis and in English a manor. Such a building combines features of a farmhouse with those of a distinguished structure such as a castle or fortress. They often consist of a main building that serves as a residence and outbuildings that act as barns, storage areas or stables. Le manoir de Jasmine once belonged to the adjacent castle Château de Chabrignac, which was owned by a noble family still residing there until a few years ago. The walled manor stands on Chabrignac’s church square. Diagonally in front of the entrance gate is a striking crucifix. The main building of the manor houses the chambres d’hôtes and the cozy guest kitchen. From there it is pure enjoyment of French life.
In the outbuildings, the multifunctional workshop and a detached gîte are currently being realized. The building is surrounded by gardens, a small fruit orchard and a meadow bordering a coniferous forest. The cozy courtyard offers plenty of greenery and space for rest. Hostess Jasmine has renovated the manor with a sense of style and detail. She has combined her artistic streak with her desire to live responsibly and sustainably.

Opportunities abound
Le manoir de Jasmine is also a suitable place for giving workshops or courses to small groups. Think writing or painting courses, yoga retreats and focused classes. The available facilities also lend themselves to cooking sessions whether combined with one of the other options mentioned above or not. The studio has neutral bright light from the north. Ideal for creative sessions. The gîte Maison de Poupée, lends itself very well to guests alone or as a couple. The detached residence with double bed has its own bathroom facilities including a small kitchenette.

Artist in residence
Artists, artists or other creative makers sometimes need rest, space and time to find new inspiration. To recharge or to focus on new ideas. The studio, for example, combined with Maison de Poupée, offers them the dream artist-in-residence stay. If that appeals to you, don’t hesitate to contact hostess Jasmine.
